Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Connecticut, Lily Nieves moved to Florida in 2004 to raise her family and pursue her passion for beauty. Inspired by her mother—a talented hairstylist and salon owner in Puerto Rico—Lily stepped into the industry in 2008, starting cosmetology school in the middle of a recession. Through determination and resilience, she quickly built a loyal clientele and, in 2020, opened her own salon at the height of the global pandemic, proving her strength and entrepreneurial spirit.

Lily works with every hair texture, but her true specialty is curls. Growing up with naturally curly hair and little education on how to care for it, she understands the struggles of confidence and self-esteem that many curly clients face. She taught herself advanced curl techniques long before formal training, earning her DevaCurl certification in 2016. Over the years, she developed her signature Curly Guru Cut, training more than 20 stylists and earning a reputation that draws clients from miles away to experience her expertise—and her warm, uplifting energy.

 

A versatile artist, Lily is also a sought-after colorist known for luminous blondes, vibrant fashion shades, and seamless, lived-in color. She is trained in precision razor cutting by renowned New York stylist Nick Arrojo and takes pride in offering a full range of services that heal both hair and spirit.

 

Lily’s story is one of resilience, creativity, and love. Whether enhancing natural curls or crafting a custom color, she brings passion, skill, and a welcoming presence to every guest who sits in her chair.
